Weeks 27/28 Christmas and New Years!

Well, I did not write a post last week because of Christmas eve and Christmas day. James' birthday was last Monday as well and we also had a doctors appointment so it was just a little extra busy :)

Christmas was bitter sweet, last year at this time I was 3 1/2 months pregnant with a little baby boy, (I didn't know at the time) expecting him to be celebrating with us this Christmas as a happy healthy 6 month old for his first Christmas. Instead we said good by to our little angel 8 months ago and that was the hardest thing I will probably ever have to do in my life. I pray anyway.

This New Year, we are now expecting a little baby girl to join us in the next couple months! I am 7 months along tomorrow and time is just slipping away. It's crazy how fast it feels this year has gone by. I'm just thrilled and anxious and afraid and excited and everything in between for McKenna to get here! I'm just looking for some happiness and excitement this year and make 2013 the best year ever.

And now to update

Total weight gain/loss: Alright alright alright, ugh what a lovely checkup I had on Christmas Eve.... I'm now at a total of 13 pounds gained. AHHH My dr wasn't worried so I have to make sure next month is less and then there is nothing to be afraid of. I just don't want to see preeclampsia ever again... poop

Maternity clothes: I've been loving my stretchy shirts and leggings and maternity jeans  :)

Stretch marks: Nothing new-

Best moment this wk: Constant baby movement!! She's a mover, like her brother!

Miss anything: Restless sleep :)

Movement: Absolutely, I'm beyond thankful for all the movement. It keeps me sane, because when she's not moving I go crazy until she moves again lol

Food cravings: Sweet now, weird- and crunchy and fruity and cold

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing specific.

Symptoms: Round ligament pain and hip pain and lower back pain haha everything's moving

Have you started to show yet: I sure am, no question lol

Gender: It's a girl! And her name is McKenna Lee

Labor signs: None at all, good thing!

Belly Button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Depends on the day hahah

Looking forward to: The baby shower, it's coming up soon! And in a couple weeks we start the non stress test which will be awesome since then I get to see McKenna every week until she arrives and then I'll know that all is well and she will get here safely and when she's ready.

26 weeks and so much is happening in this world

Another week down and I'm getting anxious. Not the best thing with a max of 3 months to go...
All is well though so I can't complain :)

I have had an exciting week this last week and also 2 of my friends have both brought little baby boys into the world a day apart I'm so excited for them!!

On a not so happy note, I once again fell down- this time while I was at work, with two clients processing and a shop full of co-workers so everyone got to witness my lack of stability and grace. At first I was completely fine, I was actually on the ground laughing. I fell like my feet slipped straight out in front of me, it felt cartoonish in a way. It was about half an hour later I got weird pains and cramps so I called James to come get me and we got to spend a good few hours hooked up to monitors, had blood work done, and got an ultrasound to make sure all was well with McKenna.

All is well with McKenna, she's the just lucky one with the clumsiest mother in the entire world UGH

Ok ok ok

Another not so happy note, with Christmas literally around the corner I've been preparing and planning for a little girl to join us in the new year but cannot keep from wondering how things might have been. Wyatt would have been 8 months old this Christmas and I can't help but be sad about knowing we don't have exciting gifts and toys under the tree for him. It's just so hard to be happy when this is usually the happiest time of the year. I am happy, it's just hard. I miss my little man more than anything but again, I'm excited to tell his little sister about him and I hope he will help our little family become closer and stronger as the years go by. He is another example of who we should strive to be like.

I have had a hard time, just like everyone one else who has been paying attention to the news, dealing with the shooting in Connecticut. I was just watching the Voice from last night and saw them singing Hallelujah holding the names of those lost. I completely broke down. THEN I saw a post of a collage of pictures of all lost and that was it for me. A face to the name, and all I can say is I'm grateful to know that all those lost are with their Heavenly Father and it isn't for us to know or judge the how's and why's here on this earth. It will never make sense to us and it is something we should try to help people with for the future.

I really don't know what else to say, there is so much that could/should/would have been done and we should really put our focus on our families and friends and do our best to teach the future generations to love one another and to respect themselves and those around them. Imagine this world if we loved ourselves, and everyone as much as we should love ourselves. There would ben no hate and anger or abuse and violence- you would hope :/ Now if could just live this way. It always starts with us.

Ok status time

25 weeks

Time is flying and I'm super excited. Christmas is literally around the corner and then will be the baby shower and then little McKenna will be here!!! Can't wait!

Last Wednesday we had our appointment with our perinatologist and he was really happy with how McKenna is growing. She was right on track for everything. He couldn't get a clear enough shot of her abdomen but she was right under my bellybutton where it's darkest in the ultrasound but from what he could see all was well. Her legs even measured a week farther along than she is... hummm maybe she'll get her dad's long legs!! Her heart beat was perfect and the blood flow through the umbilical cord was perfect and that's what my biggest concern. I was really excited to hear everything was great! We will see him again soon and I'm really excited about that appointment :)

24 weeks!!! 6 whole months :)

Wow finally 24 weeks along! Only one more month until my weekly appointments and I'm actually really excited about this!!!!!!! This last week has been much better than the one before haha, no accidents of any sort thankfully. It's been a busy week as usual but I've been able to work it out pretty well. I'm loving the weather and hoping it lasts. And I still love time flying by, it's pretty fantastic!!

Even being so excited about time flying by I still can't believe that Christmas is really only 3 weeks away- OH MY GOSH! We are running out of time here hahaha. But it's just so great- really great. Everyday is another day closer to getting to meet little McKenna :)

Looking forward to: This Wednesday- we have an appointment with a specialist and we will get to see everything and be checked for anything that could be going on. I'm thankful to be able to get in with him even this late in the pregnancy. We will be able to see and know so much more than if we had only gone in at 13 weeks. ( appointment was not cleared in time for first trimester screening that's what I mean about so late in pregnancy)
